Writing had been my area of interest but unfortunately could not dedicate much for it. This blog is a step towards it. Before I write further, would like to share an incident about Tulsidas the famous writer of ‘Ramcharitmanas’, the translation of holy epic ramayan in a rural language called ‘Awadhi‘.

The epic was earlier written in sanskrit language and learned people only could access and understand it because sanskrit was not taught to all. When people came to know that Tulsidas is writing it in common man’s language or rural language they felt that he is trying to disgrace the epic and its efficacy. They burnt its manuscript, thrown it in holy ganges but he wrote it again. At the end Tulsidas was successful and his statement made it loud and clear to express his devotion, he expressed it in a few verses and I am quoting one of them here.

स्वान्तः सुखायतुलसीरघुनाथगाथा, भाषानिबद्धमंजुलमातनोति|

It means, for own pleasure and satisfaction Tulsidas has written the story of lord Rama.

This verse leaves a clear impression that the imagination, creativity or whatever you call it, If done with devotion and purity then no one on the earth can disgrace the work.
